Sync All Vs Distinction

For those of us who are into the fast paced mobile technology world there's nothing like getting a new mobile phone. We quickly want to check all the features, download new apps, create wall savers, and maybe add our personal music or ringtone to give it that personal touch. After this many of us begin the arduous task of syncing current accounts, contacts, and by the time it's done with any luck all our contacts our united harmoniously into our mobile phone.

Although this is great for mobile technology unfortunately I believe many of us are beginnning to sync distinctively seperate parts of ours lives into one bundle leaving no Distinction for that which should be valued most.

Don't answer these small questions just think about it... Have you ever placed an outfit above a bill? Have you ever disclosed what should be a private matter with a Facebook or any other social network versus going to the person or people it involved first? Have you ever shared personal business with a co-worker versus communicating it with your spouse first? Syncing works well with mobile technology but in real life there must be Distinction and things must be put in the right Priority as it pertains to life affairs and failure to do so will lead to Confusion. Jesus himself even spoke to the religious Pharisees saying "but you ignore the more important aspects of the law--justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things"

Even though all the Word of God is important even our Saviour let us know somethings have Distinction and take more presidence over others.Remember to give higher value and Distinction to that which deserves it and not to neglect what matters most in life.

Learning to Love Yourself: Tribute to Whitney Houston

It's that time of year again where we scramble through stores, some buying expensive diamonds, some buying chocolates, and many looking for just the right card that say's I love you with some type of teddy bear. On Valentines Day it's understandble everyone wants to be appreciated and made to feel special. I really don't think it's anything wrong with it at all. I even bought a few special people in my life gifts. Just a reminder to let them know I care and appreciate them being apart of my life.

But as we know and I'm sure with the media craze it's no mystery we have lost the beautiful Whitney Houston. She left us with such beautiful love songs and sang straight from her heart whether it was soul, R&B, or gospel. She will definitely be missed. I just wanted to write my latest blog in tribute to her during this Valentines Day Holiday. It seemed like Whitney grasped something when she sang the lyrics to the "Greatest Love of All". The one key verse stands out in my mind even now "Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all".

So in short I would like to say to those during this Valentines Day Holiday who may seem a little lonely, under appreciated, or just feeling a little down because you don't have that special someone. Learn to love yourself because in loving yourself it will give you the compacity to love someone else.

Stress( Good Stress Bad Stress)

After the bliss of a wonderful Christmas and the excitement of a new year my body is a little shaky and tired. I feel like I been sleep walking in the same day over and over wrestling the same issues. Has anyone ever felt like this? Then suddenly I feel the overwhelming feeling. The panicky feeling. The I just want to turn off all the lights, close the door, turn off the tv type moment. Finally I realize what it is. It's that ugly monster called stress.
A doctor once told me there is good stress and bad stress. I guess the good is the stress of starting a new job. It may be difficult in the beginning but if its benefiting you you'll eventually ride out the stress till it calms. But what about the harmful stress that is meaningless brought on by endless chitter chatter and nonsense. I can deal with what they call good stress anyday because it's needed for my growth and maturity but any stress caused by Drama is not useful and it's not neccessary for me to carry. I just wanted to encourage anyone who is under a little pressure this new year and feeling stressed that it is ok to cut those stressers out of your life if it doesn't improve or mature you. Stay strong and remember the Lord will renew your strength but use common sense and realize some things are not for our good and some people you cannot live peacefully with. Be at peace my friend with your God, comman man, and above all yourselves....

Let's Make That I Do for Life( Things to Consider)

Well it's that time of year again where we do things at the spur of the moment sometimes not taking time to process our decisions. With the all the holidays that just passed and the Big One that is coming up Valentines Day of course, I noticed many people are getting engaged or the question will soon be popped so I decided to write to those who may have gotten caught up in the whirl wind of holiday bliss and New Year's cheer and told someone a half hazard I do and to those who will be asked for their hand in marriage.

I must admit I love to go to a marriage ceremony as cheesy as that may sound. I am not a Wedding Crasher by any means but it's nothing like seeing two people come together and declare that their union will be for a lifetime. It's a beautiful thing if you ask me. One thing I really love the most though that sometimes I believe is over looked quite often is when the person presiding over the wedding say's these important words"Marriage is a sacred act, not to be entered into lightly". With this in mind I wonder friends are we putting in enough thought and time before we say yes or even ask the question Will You Marry Me? Have we really examined the character of the person in front of us and better yet have we sought the Lord before we agree to such a major decision that will in some way effect us the rest of our life. Before you take that step here are a few things to consider that may help you to think or rethink your decision.I can end this with three things to consider.

1. Does this man have the compacity to love me as Christ loved the Church? Remember Christ's Love for the Church was Self Sacrificing

2. Are we equally yoked not only in God but Naturally? Remember it is biblical factual it impossible for two to walk together unless they agree. How will you walk through a lifetime of marriage if you can't agree on common simple things of life? Compromise can only get you so far.

3.Are you dealing with a contentious person? Not being funny but if so. Run Run Run. The scriptures says Pro 25:24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house. Likewise it says Prverbs 26:21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.
Remember a contentious person is never satisfied and always demanding. They are willing to start something over the most petty things. As the saying goes Nag Nag Nag
