Driving down the street
Walking through the stores
I can feel a million eyes looking at me
Cold eyes
Aimless eyes with no direction and its killing me cause it used to be me
A young black male eyes shady with weed smoke
Education lacking
An I can't die attitude
So instead of just letting that young man pass me by I decided to make a difference. Can I lie and say I have a platform of millions of young men to speak to everyday. No!!! What I can say is I take value in reaching just one in the crowd who can reach the crowd that maybe I can't. We are relying on teachers who are frustrated themselves to raise our kids. Every coach isn't Coach Carter and the military isn't the answer for every young man with authority issues. Its often said that people are a product of their enviroment so I highly recommend that we take our young black men up and challenge them giving them the skills to succeed. Don't turn a def ear to the kid cussing. Don't be so quick to turn your nose down on the one tatted up and down. Who knows what kind of impact you could have on someone? I leave you with this. Be concerned, be genuine, and recognize the value in giving than receiving.....

It takes a village to raise a child!! I think that is still relevant today, every parent don't have the tools they need to properly raise a child. The christian community has to become involved and make a difference even if it's in the life of one person. You never know how far your small act of kindness will go. Ken this is great, and so true. Pray for the young people today!
